A couple will be coming to Yakushima soon.
I am waiting to welcome them with the rings that have just been completed.
The sunlight is growing stronger as summer draws near.
In the shade of the hibiscus, two rings carried a gentle shimmer.
This is a story of combination rings made of 18k pink gold and platinum.
We designed sakura and hibiscus motifs on the surface of the pink gold.
These are their favorite flowers, and they told me that sakura is blooming in Switzerland.
Feeling deeply grateful for the bond that has grown across the distance.

Both rings are 4.0mm wide.
I shaped them into the same round-square shape.
Two rings share platinum and pink gold equally, half and half.
The hammered platinum was sparkling in the light.
The engraved pink gold carried a quiet warmth.

The two rings have a substantial weight to them, yet they looked soft and comfortable.
In the gentle light of May, they seemed to be in quiet harmony with the island scenery.

When the work was completed, large clouds gathered along the mountains, hinting at the arrival of summer.
Finally, they will come to Yakushima Island next week to receive these rings.
I’m so excited to welcome them to my studio and hand the rings to them.

As I gently picked up the two rings, a deep and quiet joy washed over me, as though flowers had bloomed.
I’m thankful that our paths have come together.
I feel that a one-of-a-kind ring has finally come to life.
Our journey still has a little way to go.
I hope they will have a calm and joyful time on this flowering island.
