When I woke up. It was still dark in Yakushima.
With the soft light of the new day, the black shadows were standing out in the blue.
It was a quiet Autumn morning.
I felt it was a nice day to give the first touch to new work.
She came to my studio last month. It was a hot day that felt like the afterglow of the summer.
Thank you so much for coming from Washington!!
Story of custom-made pendant Yakushima, Washington, the diamond she inherits from her family
She brings one piece of diamond from Washington.
The diamond was set in the ring that her father gave her mother when she was born.
And we talked about custom-made pendants making with this diamond.
It is the beginning of the story making “Shizuku” pendant.
“Shizuku” means a drop in Japanese.
With feeling something will begin like a drop of rain makes a ripple.
I prepared the diamond that I received from her and a small piece of k18 yellow gold.
There is a design we made together. And some tools and her precious feeling for the necklace.
I think they were enough to make a small beauty.
Finally, I took a first step.
Would be happy if we could share the happiness.
