When I feel cold from the melting snow in the mountains on my feet, I know that spring has finally come to my island.
The sunlight has grown stronger, and the wind blows with more force.
Yakushima is now entering the season of fresh greenery.
I like living with the four seasons. Sometimes it’s too cold or too hot, and there’s often a lot of rain on this island.
But the seasons always give me a delicate and deep moments of reflection and expression.
I believe that Japanese tradition or art are rooted in these seasons, in close harmony with nature.
And I can feel we are connected through the delicate feelings we receive from Mother Nature.
