An Octagon Ring for the Rhythm of the Seasons #YakushimaWeddingRingsStories

Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.

In harmony with the rhythm of the seasons, I set four sapphires into the octagon ring.

The joy of seeing the ring in a new way, depending on the season or your mood.

The 5mm-wide ring in 18k yellow gold rests in harmony with the lush green of Yakushima Island.

We can feel the rich variation of the seasons in Japan.

That beauty always offers us delicate and vibrant moments.

The flowers are singing and the mountains are smiling.

Living on this island, If I listen closely with my heart, I can feel the natural mystic blowing through the air.

I think we are sharing these precious feelings.

I’m truly grateful to have been entrusted with creating their meaningful wedding rings.

Thank you, Yakushima, for bringing us together.

The gentle green of springtime. The brilliant summer blue.

And the deep, rich orange of autumn.

He and I have had so many conversations about the types, colors, and arrangement of the stones.

So happy to see the vision we’ve grown together come to life here.

Though the form is sharp, I shaped the inside softly where it touches the finger.

I hope this ring will stay close to their life together for many years to come.

Sending love from the lush green of Yakushima.

Wishing you a beautiful life together.

Under the Cherry Blossoms in Kyoto #YakushimaWeddingRingsStories

We finally met up in Kyoto, just as the cherry blossoms were in full bloom.

It had been four years since I made their engagement rings.

It was a warm Sunday, filled with sunlight after the rain had passed.

They’re visiting Japan now for their honeymoon, and I had brought one of the rings they ordered as their wedding bands.

I was so happy to hand it over in person.  It was a truly special moment.

We enjoyed some coffee together and shared updates about the cherry blossoms.

It was also lovely to have a chance to talk about the next ring project.

They told me with happy smiles about their plan to visit Arashiyama that afternoon.

And finally, we took some photos together and said goodbye with a warm “Let’s stay in touch.”

After that, wrapped in the afterglow, I felt truly happy.
I realized I was growing even more fond of them.
