After days of heavy rain, the sun is finally out.
It feels like it’s been ages since I last looked up at the sky.
It felt so good to take in the sunlight with my whole body.
While it was raining, I had been shaping small leaves from a sheet of platinum.
I was trying to give them an organic, gentle feel.
I also made several small rose gold dots in different sizes.
It warmed up quickly once the sun came out.
With a clear sense that summer is quietly approaching, I’m here at my workbench again today.
I guess there are more than fifteen points where the metals need to be joined.
I had to be as careful as possible not to melt the metal with a flame hotter than intended.
Little by little, I’m adding subtle touches.
I could feel time moving more slowly than usual inside the studio.
